FIRST MEETING!
Well, our first meeting was quite interesting. It was mainly an introduction to the course, and we got to know a little about each other and interact with one another using an activity. This activity required us to cut out magazine pictures that tell us what we want to get out from this Club. Things that are conflicting in our lives, somethings that we would like to become comfortable with. Nevertheless, it went well. Ana and I were a little nervous, but Allison guide us through it, and made our jobs easier. Allison is the person from Girls Inc. that has volunteered her time to come and help Ana and I with our Senior Project. Our future meetings are scheduled to be every Monday, once a week--during P.E. and part of Chores. All the girls have a legitimate excuse to leave these activities, and come to Women's Group. Ana and I are hoping that the meetings become a success and more girls would like to join. It's very exciting, yet a little scary.

Sounds like everything is starting on a good note. I would just suggest that you and Ana should remind the girls of how valuable they are to these meetings. Remind them that they have the courage to attend these meetings and receive advice for situations that are going on in there lives. The reason I say this is because there might be some girls out there whom also want to receive advice but are too shy or ashamed to ask for it. Make these girls want to attend your meetings.
